Antique French Style Shield Mirror.... I've partially removed several layers of thick white gloss paint from the carved wood frame that was obscuring the beautiful details....

And in the process uncovered hints of the original paint.... Yellow ochre, green, blue, cream and, of course.... There where a few marks on the front showing that it once had more decorative elements that are long gone so I added some Woodubend floral mouldings which I hand painted with Annie Sloane chalk paint in Duck Egg Blue and a hint of Provence. The used the same colours diluted into a wash on selected areas of the frame.

I also used a little Fusion mineral paint. In Plaster for the highlights on the flowers as it was the perfect match to the original paint colour. It's quite petite measuring.

56.5 CMS tall by 41 CMS wide or 22 and 1/4 inches tall by 16 wide. The mirror has one tiny chip and one larger chip to the bevelled edge and some scratching and light foxing to the mirror. I personally love antique mirrors when they develop a bit if patina.
