We have sanded and clear oiled the Real Oak and Walnut Veneer table top. The Shape and Design of the table top is beautiful. The table seats 6 comfortably when not extended. The table extends via 2 extension leaves to give you more table space or to accommodate 8 chairs when needed. The table base consists of a double carved pedestal.

The table top easily dismantles from the base for ease of transportation. The table is complemented by 6 Bergere Cane Back Chairs. 2 of which are Carvers. We have upholstered the seats.

In a lovely Natural Slub Basketweave Linen. This fabric is beautiful and does have natural colour variants within it. These are not marks or flaws, it is part of the natural fabric weave. Neutral enough to tone in with all colour schemes.

The Dining Set is not new, but it is in good used condition with knock's and dings to the woodwork here and there. The above condition is reflected in. The Dining Set has been sanded, undercoated and then hand spray painted so please do not expect a factory style finish.... Although we think it looks pretty good! What work actually goes into painting a piece of furniture? Here's a little breakdown.. The fuel to collect it.

The 2-3 days worth of cleaning and prepping of the furniture. Repairing any broken pieces/fixing loose joints. The 2-3 coats of eggshell paint.

The drying time between coats and sanding again. The sanding and oiling of exposed wood. Adding New Hardware/Handles/Glass where needed. Upholstering New fabric to seat bases. All this whilst still providing a quality piece of furniture that is still a fraction of the price you would pay in a High Street Shop and remaining competitive within our genre of work. We are very proud of our finished items and our over 15 years in business is testament to our workmanship.

However we do keep the original fabric on the seat bases if it is in good clean condition as this is fire retardant or we use a lining fabric that meets Fire Safety Regulations 1988. (as amended in 1989 & 1993) where necessary. If we have replaced the sponge this also meets Fire Safety Regulations. Any Second Hand Furniture older than 1950 the regulations does not apply. Our Furniture has a Fire Resistant tag attached in accordance with Trading Standards even though our furniture is secondhand and we are not obliged to do so.
